October 2018

As cooler temperatures have finally arrived on the south plains, have you noticed the lovely monarch butterflies migrating through Ransom Canyon? These beautiful creatures travel 3000 miles from Canada to Mexico each fall! For more information on their migration patterns, see this article. The POA Beautification Committee has chosen 2 lovely properties to recognize as "The Yard of the Month" in October: #74 Canyonview (Penny Golightly) and #92 S. Lakeshore Dr. (Ronnie & Joyce Hill).

Support Local Businesses In Ransom Canyon we have some outstanding local businesses owned by our residents! Mark and Amy Doty (806-392-1622) recently opened the Sun Kissed Tanning Salon along with being the owners of the FIT Gym. FIT is open 24/7 so that you can choose your own workout time as the weather begins to get colder. Hiring local residents and supporting our community are just a few of the benefits of shopping local. Come by and check out these businesses.
